This is a journey around trying to protect our magical shorebirds.
See them now before they disappear.

September 2015 saw the return of the Pied Oystercatchers attempting  a nesting on the Deeban Spit beach. No-one has seen them try this here for the last 20 years. This is our journey.

The opinions expressed in this blog are my own.

So much thanks goes to Sutherland Shire Council, Birdlife Australia and  NSW Office of Environment and Heritage as they have supplied equipment and research required to help ensure our shorebirds, resident or migratory, can survive into the future.
